General Ledger Accountant

Our lidar technology has revolutionized perception and autonomy for automotive, new mobility, mapping, robotics, and security applications. Specific Job Requirements:Ownership of accounting & analysis for certain key balance sheet accounts. Specifically, prepaid assets, advances and deposits, fixed assets, intangible assets, leases, and other assigned areas. Perform month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing duties, including preparing journal entries, variance reporting, reconciliations, and account analysis to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP.Prepare schedules and support the quarterly reviews/year-end audit with external auditors for the areas assigned.Participate in process improvements and the development and implementation of internal controls.Assist in ad-hoc reporting and other special projects as needed. Knowledge:Thorough understanding of key accounting concepts, U.S. GAAP and internal controlsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, plus 5 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or large national firm) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.CPA (or equivalent) is a plusLease accounting (ASC 842) experience preferredAbility to assess and recommend improvements for processes and procedures willingness to learn new concepts and work with teammates to find solutionsStrong communication and problem-solving skills both orally and in writingStrong organization skills with an ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment;High-energy self-starter, able to work autonomously, identify, suggest and implement areas for improvement;Experience in NetSuite system a plus
